DTS & further ministry training

YWAM’s training programs aim to equip Christians to serve others in a wide variety of subjects from agriculture, linguistics, drug rehabilitation or cross-cultural ministry. Most YWAM courses can be combined into degree programs through YWAM’s University of the Nations. YWAM training courses, often called “schools,” combine theory with practical application. They usually last between three and nine months. For many YWAM trainees, the intensive learning combined with community living, often with others from many nations, makes for a transformational experience. YWAM’s foundational course, which serves as the prerequisite for all other training programs, is called the Discipleship Training School (DTS). At YWAM Holmsted Manor we have a long history of seeing young people trained through this course, one of the first courses to provide young men & women with missionary training. This five month course, is at that heart of our ministry here at Holmsted Manor. After successfully completing your DTS you can apply to join staff and receive further training and development here at Holmsted Manor (through the School of Ministry Development) or at other University of the Nations locations.
