The Effect Course

Effect: Discipleship for Life 2016

Back for a second year, Effect is a modular course developed by the team here at Youth With A Mission, Holmsted Manor for those who have a busy life but want to discover more of God’s heart for His world.
Over three termly modules, we will help you grow in areas of your faith as together we consider how to effectively serve our communities – both locally and internationally – developing understanding and tools to apply what we learn.

The course will include, lectures from teachers based all over the world and each term you will have a course related book.

We will meet on a Monday evening, 7.30pm - 9.30pm, two or three times per month, depending on school term times.

1st Module - Father (Jan-March)

  • 11th Jan Stories of Father (includes a meal)
  • 25th Jan Father Heart
  • 8th Feb Mother Heart
  • 22th Feb Adoption
  • 7th March Heirs of the King
  • 21st March Reflection
    Please register by 6th January

2nd Module - Son (May-July)

  • 2nd May Introduction (includes a meal)
  • 9th May Temptation of Jesus
  • 23rd May Servanthood
  • 6th Jun Healing and Redeeming
  • 20th Jun Power of the Cross
  • 4th July Furious Love
  • 18th July Great Commission

3rd Module - Holy Spirit (Sep-Nov)

  • 5th Sep Introduction (includes a meal)
  • 19th Sep Ascension and Pentecost
  • 3rd Oct Character of Holy Spirit
  • 17th Oct What does it mean to be spirit filled? (Fruit of Spirit)
  • 31st Oct Gifts of the Holy Spirit
  • 14th Nov Baptism in the Spirit
  • 28th Nov Commissioning

Registration & Pricing:

Please commit to a whole term, but feel free to join any modules.

1. One module ( 6-7 weeks/ 3 months) is £25, includes course related book and introductory meal each module.

OR

2. Sign up and commit to all 3 terms at a 10% discount for the whole year at £67.50

**This non-residential course is open to those currently living in the UK and with easy access to participate locally (e.g. Sussex/Surrey/Kent).**
